They're easier to make power out of... and therefore easier to abuse
They're easier to abuse in stock form... excessive idling, grocery getting, etc.
They're a far more advanced/capable platform than the 6.0, but not a truck for the uneducated
I believe it every time I fire up the truck without cycling the glow plugs at 25*F!

I believe that when our tune only 6.4 was racing my 6 leaker lost cause it nuked a piston. And my 6L has blown head gaskets and 2 missing injectors.
6L FTW
Thats something I noticed right away about a non heui engine.....better cold starts.
I still cycle the glow plugs though, sometimes I catch myself trying to do it on my gas vehicles too.
What were you doing when it melted?
