Biggest question. I cannot find a reg cab to save my life. Biggest concern is weight obviously. But I read somewhere a ex cab is only 300 pounds heavier then a reg cab long bed?

Pros and cons to extended cab. I can yank out back seats for bottles, roll cage, etc.

Truck will have 100% nozzles, 475, etc....

What would y'all do? Be patient for reg cab? Or pick up a extended. I can find them all day long

If you're willing to travel, there are loads of them for sale on autotrader.

Moto theres like 4 or 5 under 20k on auto trader right now. I think you can get weight off anything, but if 300lbs is true I may broaden my search. I thought there were rules against running spray in the cab?

if you ever plan on street driving it, get an ex cab.

I dont know if I like my ECSB yet. I had a RCLB and if I were to do it again I would of went straight for a crew or another RC.

I loved my old ex cab/sb, an I just bought another 1. With a 7.3 in my 1st 1, it weighed right at 7100 with a 1/4 tank an no tailgate or spare, otherwise everything else was still there so I'm sure I could've dropped another few hundred lbs easily. I don't know the weight differences between the 2 motors are an I would expect the newer trucks interior to have a little more weight to it with extra sound deadening an fancier interior.

There isnt too much weight difference from an ECSB and a CCSB 6.4 really. Atleast I didnt think so.

I like the inside of my Extended cab over a Regular cab any day..

But damn my regular cab Duramax is a blast to drive and a honest 100hp shy of my 6.4!..

Dmax still take her in the 1/4 due to weight no?

I havnt had either to the track with there current setups, I would think they are both mid 12 trucks...The dmax isnt holding rail with the injectors in it even with the ii 85% pump so I'm gonna try to get that sorted out on the dyno and go from there - it's my daily driver so I try to not tinker with it to much lol.

I regret getting rid of my Ex-Cab SB, I really wanted to build it into a toy also. The Deuce was worth it tho!

I think of it this way.. I already have a big truck so if I need to tow, load the bed down, put a 4 wheeler, ect. in it I have the truck for it. The toy truck i'd probably use the inside more... Mine had 2 buckets up front and no seats at all in the rear and it was awesome. Plenty of room to put stuff, took me, the lady, and the dogs around great. Sure it was lightened up alil from the seats (probably real close to a regular cab)... All in all if it was me, I'd go with ECSB.

Check out the dimensions.. They are realllll close. http://www.fordf150.net/2008/2008-ford-f250-superduty-specifications.php

Cab room, seat adjustability and ECSB's most have PW and PL. Oh yeah, there are better colors than work truck white....LOL

Well the next one I buy will be a street legal race truck. I might drive it occasionally but not enough to worry about comfort. Now if I can run my bittles in cab, and it makes the roll cage easier to do then I will go with an extended cab.

I think with blow down tubes you can run in cab.. DD Farm truck has them inside... I was talking about a race truck and my buddy made me this... lol

Dmaxes run mid 12s with efi and built trans especially a RC .
Like I said I havnt been happy with the tuning on it - Toops will be tuning it soon enough, I think I'm gonna take both trucks to TS so we will see what it does.
