6.4 Trans wiring help

Im trying to figure out how to make my tcm think the transmission is in park or neutral. I installed a zf6 and I can’t get the engine to crank off the key. I have no park or neutral indicator on the dash. Wiring is still all in place just wrapped up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have the ECM flashed to a manual calibration.

Will that work? I was told by the dealer that my vin won’t work when they go to flash it cause the vin is part of the file. I’m just asking cause I don’t know much about how the flashes and ecm works, I also don’t always trust what the local ford dealer says.

I did it once with an H&S tuner. Flashed the normal tune then put it in recovery mode and forced a manual flash on it from the canned files on the card.

You can also use hp tuners to tell it it has a manual in it.

I have an H&S tuner, I’ll have to try that. If that doesn’t work I’ll look into the HP tuners as well.
