6.7 CFD turbo kit frustration

I don't know much at the 6.7, I know that's the turbo area but what are we looking at?

Looks to me like a 'billet' turbo pedestal made on a drill press out of 1/2" steel plate.
And an exhaust manifold with the outlet pointed directly into the valley.
