I was just wondering how much it cost to have headstuds installed on a 6.7 powerstroke? and at what boosts should I start worrying about blowing a head gasket and has anyone had issues blowing a head gasket with the fact turbo turned up?

6 head bolts per cylinder versus 4 like in the past. Plus 6.7 head bolts are larger mm size now. Head studs really aren't needed unless LARGE power levels will be seen. Rods are needed before studs IMO

Thanks, I searched for head gaskets blown on the 6.7 and couldn't find any with the the factory turbo.
Also the only way to get my wife to let me get a new streetmax is to NEED it. I just don't want to turn up the turbo only to damage something else. Thanks for the info. I

6.7's don't need studs unless its a high power race engine, like stated up top I would worry about blowing the bottom end before blowing the head gaskets.

I did a long block and just did studs while I was there. 700$ worth the extra assurance so many bolts lol
