The thin oil plays less affect and still floats the crank or cam much better than cold oil does. Especially full true synthetic, not blended. I'm with you tho Wayne. Really am. But to me this is just like turbos. Guys say "oh man this thing spools" sure at WOT but it's horrible cruising. Anyways.
