dont really matter where you get it from cause the only difference between each company will mostly be the install kit(pedistal, drain line, feed line). TP, II, RCD and others use Borg Warner turbo's and add their own little twist(install kit, wastegate, certain wheel and housing sizes). My 64mm non vgt that i run with my 190's is from Trusted Performance.

Is TP even in business anymore?

I really liked the 64/71/70 I had from them too.
Too bad it never had a divided exhaust housing on it, but I think if I still had it, I would try it with a twin set up.

I hope one of the things TP have in the works is a better pedistal for the 64 turbo. Love the turbo, but that pedistal is really flimzy. I cracked the adapter on the back of the turbo. I was told it was a heat related issue. Which is probably partially true. But the way you have to bolt that turbo down, it is obviously in a bind from the word go.

I blew there adaptor apart two times! Lol the second time it was too bad to weld ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336200184.477228.jpg

And the way the turbo just floated destroyed two sets of up pipes.

Jeez your hard on parts.:poke:LOL

The drain line was the bigest PITA ever.

I think putting that turbo with the BD pedistal and drain line would be kickass.

My TP has been flawless. I know what you're saying about the "so called" pedistal...i'm not sure i'd even call it a pedistal because the turbo doesn't even bolt to it. Didn't have any issues with the drain line. Chad said that he made my drain line a little different and when they tested it, he said it worked better than the others they made. Here's some pics of pedistal and drain line.

The only reason i got this turbo is because they were coming out with this new turbine housing that was supposedly change the turbo world for the 6L. However...i think we all know how that's turned out so far. I did however contacted Chad a few months back about the housing and he told me that they are getting very close with it and have made multiple changes with it to improve it and didn't want to release anything until they were absolutly happy with the results.

I would be right proud if my pedistal looked that good lol. My looks like Ole one eyed farmer John welded it together. It is the second one that I have had, due to me complaining about the first one. But looking at that one. How the hell does the turbo mount on it lol?
I have broken one adapter and destroyed 1 set of up pipes also. Haven't had any problems with the oil line.
I do like the turbo, it lites really fast and pulls hard with the 190's. I am going to try to come up with a way to secure it better than the pedistal it has, or it has to go. I can't keep buying adapters and crossovers. But like I said, the pedistal in the pictures is not anything like the one I have. Mine is just a home made thrown together welding job. It is a shame that such a good running turbo was sold with such a crappy pedistal.

I like the RCD pedistal. It is simple but functional.

A little off topic, but may help the OP out, what turbine housing specs have been tried on a 64 with 190s and what seems to be the best combo? is a 64/71/.70 the way to go?

haha that's the whole thing...the turbo doesn't mount it. The turbo only sits on it. Only thing that keeps the turbo from moving is it being clamped to the Y-pipe, down pipe and hot side CAC pipe.

That's what size mine is and most are. However if you do tow and want more responsiveness, you can always go to a smaller wheel 68 or 65. Mine in non gated.

What is a bd pedistal? Like I said, I do like the turbo, but I have got to find another pedistal.
