with the reading ive been doing not sure if i am going to go with this turbo just cause i have such big injectors not sure if its the best route if i dont get it i think i might get the mtw stage 3 or 4

what size injectors are you running?
i just installed my 68 and 175/75s.. but had an electrical issue and wanted to go ahead and do my trans and converter while it was down.. so havent got to run it yet..

are you running custom tunes or just can tunes?
if you are running can tunes.. call Eric at Innovative and get some custome one written and he can probably clear up some of that smoke for you and make more power than the can tunes

I run a 68 pmax with 175/75s. Smoke is a non issue. Thats with a race file. Matts tuning.

how many miles on it? little sceptical bout buying a used turbo last time i did that it came covered in soot and oil and was not what they said it was lol

I'll vouch for the seller here. Stand up guy, turbo is what he says it is. I'd take the chance at getting a good deal on what you are after, IMO.

i have 205/100 i got tunes from eric i was surprised how smokey it is....but now my converter keeps unlocking so idk whats going on

I've run mine for a year now and really like it. I have RCD'S 180/75. If you lug it in overdrive it surges, keep the r's up and she spools like a m f'er. Eric's xtreme x is crazy!

Got a guy in my area that has a 68 powermax and 205's.....says it smokes like a beotch. He's got custom tunes, but not sure who's they are.

How do you like the banks intercooler? Is it worth the money?

Ive been seeng alot of guys having heavy smoke issues personally i think its the nozzles people that are running 75 percent nozzles have no issues folks running 100 are its hit or miss.

mine smokes so bad on xtream x and xtream street that i literately can not see the car/truck behind me i have to drive on my tow tune cause thats the only one that barely smokes iam going to get live tuning to fix it. as with the banks intercooler i have no issues with it and i like it

lets put it like this when i am on the highway if i dont put it in tow/haul and try to speed up a little bit is like a coal train going down the road if i take off slow and dont get on it at all it hazes if i let it get to about 15psi then mash it i wont see the cars behind me. i wanna take a vid soon just been busy

I remember the set of 190/100's I got from Busted Performance were ridiculous for smoke.
I posted a video of them with soft driving...looks like I'm trying to do a brake stand it smoked so bad.

I sent them back, and bought a new set from Ford.

Yeah I'd say you might have a problem....I had no smoke driving around with my 68 and 200's. if I lugged it, of course it would smoke but its totally manageable.
