I dont think a van 1.15 exhaust housing will work on a sd turbo.. van exhaust wheels are bigger

Uhm, not from what I've seen.
I've torn down 2 turbo's, one from an SD, and one from a van.
Both had the same internals - just the housings were different.
And I'm using the turbine shaft from the van's in my project turbo build.
I needed a gated housing - and managed to pick up a Banks housing on the cheap.

and here's a photo of the van's shaft/turbine and the back side with the Banks housing.
No difference in the turbine side as near as I can tell, and it clearances the housing fine.

You've never seen a .84 on a stock turbo?

What trucks are you looking at? Every single superduty that rolled off the assembly line had a .84 housing on it...

I only have owned one SD and when I took the trunk off I didn't look, I was just making some room in the shop and it looked really small to all the others. I just wanted to see if it was stock or not.
