7.3 LPOP Problem

I have a 7.3 that doesn’t have any LPOP. It was going down the road and quit.
I checked the oil reservoir and it was low, so I filled it up and the engine ran for about 15 seconds then quit. I check the reservoir and it’s empty again. I pulled the LPOP pump apart and everything looks perfect, so this engine is dumping the oil pressure internally.

Anybody ever come across this problem before? Could it be the pressure relief in the oil cooler? Somebody did tell me there is a plug the blows out somewhere towards the back of the block and that could be where the oil pressure is going.
Anybody has a flow chart of oil pressure? Sometimes the factory manuals would show that.

All these years of working on 7.3’s and I’ve never seen this problem before. Also this van only has about 130k miles on it.

What year is the engine? 95s had a airetion valve that falls out of the front cover and causes no lpo.

All other ones has the regulator in the oil cooler housing fail. You can try to take it apart to clean it, polish it. But I've always bought a new oil cooler end cap/oil filter housing.

Does it have oil in it? At 6-7 quarts they quit running, could just be low on oil.

Try draining the oil and using a borescope to try and inspect the pickup tube. Could be plugged full of shit.

It’s full of oil. Even looks clean… lol
I’ve done plenty of 7.3’s over the years and I’ve never seen this problem.
Only 2 I've evr had with no lpo were the valve in front cover in early ones and the regulator in the filter housing.
