Im looking into doing some upgrades on my 2000 auto so I can pull a gooseneck loaded with two jeeps on it and have some fun every now and then. I currently have a 3367, 4" turbo back exhaust, and the hypertech programmer came with it.

What is your guys opinion? Since it is my dd I was looking at doing gauges, stage 1 injectors, regulated return, 6 pos chip, and turbo. I figured I would go with the complete t4 mount with the 366 since I need new up-pipes bad. Or should I go with the 38r and just replace the up-pipes?

I'd go with a small hybrid and the 366

Yea he is. Id go for something around a 200/80 or even 238/100. These injectors will have tons of safe fun power and good towing power. Depending on the health of the hpop, a t500 or adrenaline would be good to put on that list too.

Thats was the very first one I looked at since I figured Swamps was one of the bigger names here. I was also looking into Full Force as well.

do you know how much power you are wanting?

cause you can do some 250/200s, GTX4294r, regulated return, fuel pump, intercooler, HPOP, T4 mounting kit for turbo, intake, gauges, and im sure i missed some minor things. But that would net you say 600ish i believe, and with a good tow tune it would tow anything you put behind it and would be a lot of fun un hooked daily driving

I was looking to get 400-450 maybe a little more for now. Only because from what I've been reading is the 7.3 is still reliable at that hp and not having to to all the other upgrades.

Look here: www.fullforcediesel.com. Right now we have 10% off everything but the deal ends Sunday! For 4-450 I would recommend stage2's and a 366 with regulated return. If your HPOP is good it should be able to keep up with the right tuning. If you need a good HPOP, I would recommend an adrenaline for the stage 2's.

Now what is the difference between their stage1 and stage2? I see they are both 160cc.

Stage 2 has a 80-100% nozzle. Call Tim at performance injection systems and he'll take care of you.

Budget in a trans I'd recommend a bts and be done with it.

I already had my trans rebuilt about 10-15k miles ago. So im not too worried about it. Its more the injectors and tunes im not too familiar with.

Was the trans rebuilt with anything special or was it just a standard rebuild?

Factory trans brand new died under factory power. If you're new to this, save yourself some time and headache and get a BTS. Or at least a valve body and a converter from BTS.

You will spend several grand on a new turbo, injectors and blah blah blah but you're willing to stick w/ a hardly adequate trans? You can spend the 4700 now or do it when it leaves you stranded when those hybrids and S366 destroy that trans. It won't be a matter of "if" but from reading 4R100 stories since I was on the forums in 2000, it is a matter of "when".

Swamps or GH will do package deals if you call them.
If you want to keep it simple, the 38R can be shipped for around 1350ish and dorman bellowed up pipes off rockauto are less than $200. So that is another bolt on options.

Good luck and prepare to spend the $ to keep it reliable. Do it right the first time or prepare to redo it later on down the road.

If it were my truck and my money I would go with pis 200/30 sticks and a 38r , arp studs and 910 springs, then defiant leu throw a bts valve body and stallion converter at it to keep the trans happy

I know it has a billet torque converter. This guy builds all the landscapers transmissions by me. The one company I know the guys beat the snot out of the trucks that have trailers hooked up everyday.
