7.3 swap PCM question

Hello all, I'm finishing up a 7.3 swap into a 2003 Excursion that was formerly a 6.0.

Engine is from a 2002, as is the entire harnesses dash, engine bay and engine harnesses. They are from different trucks but, both are 2002.

I also have a 1999 F350 parts truck. The only IDM and PCM I have are from the 1999 F350.

From what I've researched the IDM should work - it seems they are all the same through all the 7.3's (although the newer ones received a bump up in voltage).

My question is for the PCM - I'm assuming the 1999 PCM is not compatible with the 2002 harness? Also, are the PCM's in 7.3 trucks serialized with the VIN number to work correctly?

After a bit of research it looks like I'm looking for a PCM I/D# NQW2, 3, 4 or 5. It seems a few others may work but I'll stick with these as they are listed for the 2002 Excursion 50 states.

A few things to be cautious of, 99 Truck were either split shot injectors on the late production and single shot on the early, tuning is different. IIRC Excursions had solid state glow plug module and SD's still had the solenoid so the harnesses will be different.

Did you use a excursion harness or pickup? If it's a truck harness, which that's what I think you were meaning, you need a DPC 462 PCM.

It will be a vdh 1-5 for the code.

If you used a 02 Excursion harness it will be different

All 99 trucks have split shot injectors. Its a matter of ABs or ADs. 120cc vs 140

I used 2002 Excursion dash, front end and engine harnesses all from the same truck. Unfortunately the PCM from that truck is not available.

From what I've found I'm looking for the following PCM:

2C3F-12A650-AC
Code: NQW2, 3, 4, or 5.

From all I've read the PCM has to come from an Excursion, and has to be from a 2002 (or I believe a early 2003 7.3 will work as well).

So far, no luck finding one.
