7.3 valve cover failure.

Came back to shop with a very weird taping noise from under valve cover. Inspected and found out piece gasket failed. Arced on push rod.

How long has it been since somebody work on it before you? I'm thinking that was murdered and not suicide.

That looks more like a glow plug came apart then a gasket failure. Looks like wiring got tore up afterwards.

Hope you got all of the pieces of the glow plug out. If not, your piston is holding the pieces.

How bad was that truck running before the "gasket" failed, but it sure seems the glow plug bouncing around in there shorted out the harness...
