What grade of SS are the various places using if anyone knows? How thick is the flange and tubing? Do any add any structural support to prevent tube flex that can lead to cracking?

I run them, they spool faster and EGT's are a little lower, Irate sells BAE headers just like everyone else

1/8th wall 304ss and I would take a guess at the flange being 1/4", it's beefy

Just out of curiosity but 700hp is a whole bunch - are you going bts/diesel site/samwyse/etc for transmission?

It's a Ford Performance Specialist tranny. Should hold up but have DynoProven going through it anyways just to make sure

Are you going to Mahle cast or forged pistons? I can tell you right now from speaking with a sales rep and an engineer from Mahle at PRI in December these pistons are not meant for a DD. They have a very limited cycle life. Not so much mileage, but hot-cold expansion due to not having having a steel ring groove. I was told expect a 50-75k life out of them and was advised to for a build of that nature to just go with cast pistons, get them coated, delipped and valve relief and call it a job well done. Many trucks are running over 1000RHWP no issues on those pistons. Forged pistons are more of your 1500-2000HP trucks (yes they do exist for all you people living under a rock) that are gonna get torn down every other season.

As for your injector choice... You could honestly make that 700 RWHP with much smaller injectors. You'd need to dump that old school turbo and do something better with your fuel system and heads. Ron at Hypermax and Brian at BTS have made 400 on stock superduty injectors but it was more involved than just your run of the mill boltons and generic tuning.

I wouldn't bother with the girdle honestly because those caps are still going to float, just float less compared to stock. Go big or go home and get a bedplate.

Nothing wrong with your build it should work just fine but it's not how I would do it. My 2 cents.

What would size injector would you recommend to make 700? And supporting machinework?
Curious about the 400hp statement, also, I know swamps posted one time about 300ish, na. Is that related to the same testing?
I think it would take big oil to make that kind of power from an a code, and can't be very useful on the street? Not longterm, anyway?

I've never seen a stock injector make 400rwhp on a legit dyno.

I have seen stock injectors make just over 350rwhp with nitrous.

I don't think I've ever seen anyone make 600rwhp on fuel with 100% nozzles on hybrid injectors.

I think you could make 600RWHP on 180/100s. I know for a fact Brian had a truck in his shop with 160/80s and made over 500. like that 515rwhp range. With a good fuel system, not this single pump FASS system BS that barely flows. That, good turbo, good head work and a nice turbo I think 600RWHP can be done.

Given, you guys know aswell as I do a dyno is just a baseline number for tuning and without timeslips those numbers mean nothing. lol

Just my opinion, call me crazy... That's fine.

The A codes don't flow well once the rpms increase beyond around 2600rpm. P. I. S. had a video flow testing a competition 160/100 vs his 160/30. He only tests them to like 2600rpm for a reason as he notes these injectors are not the greatest injector for a high rpm high hp engine and that flow start to drop off past that as rpm increases.

It's a long ways from low 5s to 600hp, especially with the injectors mentioned.
Not going to say it can't be done, but I'm skeptical.

Maybe 500 out of a 180/100 but it'd be a miracle setup.

I bet you could hit 500 on a 180/100 with dual HPOP's and aggressive tuning and an s369, just never seen duals on 180/100's, probably never will.

My first thought is one of the setups on Garland's motor, but I haven't looked to see if you're referring to their testing or a customer for that particular reference. Since they set their engine dyno up years ago, they don't bother with renting chassis dyno time anymore- they're usually good about specifying that though.

Having run their 300/200s in a built motor with lowered compression, headwork, aggressive tuning and a gen3, it's a fun setup.... But not my pick for longevity as a DD 😂.

300/200 are an 800hp injector. Matt made over 1200 with 350/200 on the dyno. Yes he fogged the motor but the fuel potential is there. You may not hit 800 on fuel with those injectors unless you have a good set of compounds but a good flowing single and a small shot of nitrous and you will hit 800hp easily

I'm not sure what the highest RWHP fuel only HEUI 7.3 is, I don't think anyone has every hit 900 unless they sprayed it.

It's very common to see high 600's on 350/200's, I wouldn't be surprised if someone is in the 700's on fuel, I would be skeptical on 800, but if someone showed a track proven 800+ compound or triple setup I would order turbos and start fabing today.
