Got a good story for you guys. Once I seen everyone was alright I laughed my ass off. LOL

Was driving down the main strip in the town I live in. A 03-05 dodge 2500 I see pretty often pulled up next to me with a full cab of guys. Decent looking truck, 4-6" lift with BMF's on it. They were giving me a thumbs up and really checking out the truck. I roll with my windows up all the time so I just gave a thumbs up back.

I started to think, "I wonder when the drivers going to actually look at the road again" and seen some cars coming up so I signaled him to look forward. Did this a couple times and figured he couldn't see me so I rolled the window down and pointed forward and nodded that direction with a sense of urgency. Too late!! He swerved to miss the car, jumped the curb and hit a street light in the median. I turned around, parked on the side of the road in a field and checked on the guys. They were all ok, but a little spooked.

Truck was damaged pretty bad. They called a tow truck, and soon the cops pulled up. I made sure they were all good and just rolled out. I was kinda shocked at what happened.

They must have been stoned or something. I mean how do you look at something out the side window when driving and not pay attention to the road? He had to of been just watching the distance between us to stay straight. Got home and had to tell you guys. Crazy...

Jon

It's a Dodge thing, know a guy who wanted to top off his washer fluid and dumped a gallon of Methanol into his de-gas bottle then calls me on the phone about 1 week later and runs his brain fart by me then says "so do you think it will be ok?" Sounds like birds of a feather Ram tough together :morons:

It came out awesome man. You should be very proud! Those wheels are killer

Thanks man I appreciate it. You ever find those Harley lights? I have a buddy selling a set I can put you in touch with.

Never found a set of Harleys, but picked up seabee's old stock ones that are on their way to true bliss to be painted.... If I can decide what colors to go with...

I'd think either black or white would look good. I've never seen a set in white before. Might be pretty cool. Cant ever go wrong with black.

I've seen white done, and I'm not really a big fan.

I know I'm going to do the chrome parts black, but not sure if I want to do satin black, or gloss.

Then, I'm not sure what I want to do to the reflector. Whether it be just smoke it a little but still leave it somewhat orange, or just have it painted over in the dark grey like my bumpers.

I just know I've always had in the back of my mind whether or not to paint my bumpers white. I'm kinda 50/50 on it because I think its a cool different thing that's not on too many trucks(especially fleet trucks), but at the same time the cleanliness of a monotone truck is a positive too. Too many options.

I know the smoked reflector would look good either way, but the grey reflector could be pretty cool to tie everything all together. Shone did his headlights black with a tan reflector on his white KR and that's really what gave me the idea.

By the way, I thought you were putting the blue flames back on the truck?

I would match it with your trucks color with a smoked reflector imo. Here's some pics of when we painted our lights to get some more ideas flowing for you guys. Any config would look good really, something that you can't buy from somewhere and put on always stands out. That's why I tried painting so many pieces on my truck, vents lights mirrors etc. Sorry to derail T9, think yours would look sick all blacked out.

Monstar, you're truck looks badass with the same color.... I'm just not thinking white is the way to go. Maybe I should the chrome grey like my bumpers.

This is what white ones look like.... Kinda not good IMO...

TripleE44, I think the orange reflector is making it look bad, but maybe painting that white part of the headlight black and the reflector white? That'd be different.

I like the idea of the black with white reflector. Made a new thread for discussion over in the General Aftermarket section so I can quit hi-jacking Jon's thread.
