The main key is a sealed intake with no leaks, all manifolds with the restrictions removed will have the same gains. Steve you make a nice piece for sure but when all the restrictions are gone the performance is gonna be the same from who ever you get an intake from. I've dug into 34+ of these this year alone and there's really not much to them . Once the runners are cleared out and the internal egr area is cleared out performance will be the same the next issue will be the heads.

Unfortunately, that's actually not true at all but thanks!

Again, this isn't about disagreeing, it's about understanding. Now if you'd like to carry this on via PM, I'd love to hear about what is so different about mine that it could have been done differently or could benefit from whatever it is you do with yours.

I'm not contesting any of that one bit!!!

Makes sense now. Maybe I'll ask Tadd for a hand with flow testing and get to the bottom of your concerns. As far as your manifold goes, I'm sure it suites you well and id hate to try and take away from your craftsmanship by pointing out what I do differently. You should be happy with what you have! Like I said, I respect that we disagree and appreciate your work. If there's ever a chance for us to do business down the road, let me know. I'd be glad to help

Ok, I was just making sure I didn't come across as an a** to you. Oliver have you hit the dyno with that compound setup yet?

I'm actually going to set a date on the same dyno when I slap the 60 on. I'm getting that bad turkey today! Fricken stoked. I need to up the stix as well the dang truck doesn't want to smoke for **** anymore

Lol yeah that's why I went with 205's because I knew I'd eventually go with a compound setup. My truck cleans them up pretty good. Only time it smokes is at wot and my EGT's hit 1650 then drop back down to 1450ish. She pushes a lot of air up top!!! Lol

Ya that turbo flows some air man, I've noticed some high back pressure with a 3in mid pipe so I made a 3.5 and it reduced the back pressure and reduced the speed of how fast it would fly. I got the tune tweaked to open the vgt to 15% and that seems to have helped a lot as well. Hoping the 60 with the big turbine will reduce it even more and make a nice combo. I should be getting some 205/75 here soon hopefully

Yeah I need to get a bigger mid pipe. I don't know how to monitor bp on my CTS so I don't know what it sits at. I definitely have now idea about the Vgt cycle

Thee cts shows vgt duty cycle, and shows bp from the factory bp gauge.
I'm gonna t off another sensor with the factory ebp and plug my cts to it and get some good data

Aight, in all seriousness, is a ported intake mani worth it? Right now I just can't justify damn near a grand for a little throttle response an lower egts...if I actually had a budget for my truck I would just go for it, but trying to fund other things and do life and what not.

I think it's worth it even if you have a stock truck. I done months of research before I bought any part for my truck and for my application it was worth the money. Just my .02 though.

Ported manifold was one of the first mods I did. Same time as the egr delete and oil cooler. Manifold has to come out anyway.

If you're planning on budgeting for it, then do it. It is a great addition and well worth the money.
