I got another truck,07 xl 250 powerstroke. It has power mirrors already but the paddle mirrors..
I just took the door panel off and if I'm seeing this right.. the factory mirror plug has all the lights wired already for turn and signal lights.. can someone confirm if I'm seeing this right? First pic is factory body plug second is the actual mirror plug

Anyone know where I can get raw mirror side pigtale or plug? That would probably explain how to solder these wires together..

What I found adding lighted mirrors to my Ex was that the running light isn't wired if the truck didn't have factory lighted/ signal mirrors. You can wire them yourself or tie the extra wire into the signals so it lights then as well. Everything else works. Makes no sense why Ford would leave one wire out of the harness but that's my experience.

Ok.. I'm color blind and need help.. What color are these two wires? I pulled door panel off and everything matches up.. But I need a brown wire for the marker lights.. The two yellow wires get crimped together if I read the wiring diagram correctly. ..

Now the factory plug.. Is there a brown wire in there..maybe that single one?

In the photo, the curved one is brown, the shorter straight one is red. The second photo is not clear enough to accurately make out the colors.

What year mirrors are you installing?

The brown wire on truck side should be park. Iirc, wire the yellows together. Colors changed slightly left to right also I think.

In your first post, first photo, the wire to the right with the slight bend appears to be more brown than any other wire in the bundle. Left to right - green/purple, black, green/white, blue, yellow, red, brown.

Thanks.. Normally when I work with wires.. I have to double tape and mark the wires on which on connects to what and it just works for me.. But I bought these mirrors from a guy who put 08 mirrors on his 05 truck and he cut the plugs off to put on the 08 mirrors.
