Interested in this as well. Factory rubber floor and I'm tired of having standing water in the winter under the edges of the floor. Would much rather be able to clean carpet.

I put some in my 79 when I bought it. Can't remember exactly which brand but very easy to install even after adding extra heat shielding foil pad underneath because of the long tube headers. Biggest difference I noticed when looking some have a better quality carpet and pad. Some of the cheaper ones may wear out faster and be less stain resistant. Just be sure to read descriptions carefully, some may even require trimming for a perfect fit. Also don't hesitate to ask for color samples.

Take your time installing whatever you go with, especially with making any holes like where seat brackets will be mounted. Before you cut anything though make sure you roll it out and check to make sure it matches up with your truck, can't return it once cut. I would start from front to back, that way if you do have any fitment issues it will be in the rear where you are not gonna see it all the time LOL. You can also use some adhesive so it doesn't move around on you after installation. Also take proper care of it with regular cleanings and protection and it will last much longer, not the spray foam crap they sell at auto stores. That stuff just leaves a residue attracting more dust and dirt to the carpeting.

I was considering this. When I looked last it didnt say would only fit an auto truck. Now its changed.

Mines was a 6spd and Im tired of the hole in my mat. Plus the xl floor is chincy.

I put some carpet in my regular cab xl truck that I had ordered off eBay. I had my reservations with it, but once it arrived I was really pleased. It was formed and molded perfect for the floorpan. Just had to trim it up around the firewall and for the seat bracket bolts.

do you self a favor....dont buy aftermarket interior carpet if you want it to fit right........i did a lot of research on this when i did my interior change in my red truck, i ended up biting the bullet and getting carpet from ford. It was a little more costly, but fit perfectly. 90% of everyting was already cut out, molded perfectly....i know it gets expensive, but its worth the look, and hassle free install. I have heard horror stories about aftermarket carpet..... just my 2 cents...

are you doing a very different color? i went simple from Gray to black, if an oem color isnt available, looks like custom will be the only direction

I wanted something brown. Or at least darket than the med parchment I have. Going two tone on the seats in tan/brown as well. If the seat guy ever gets back to me. Otherwise Ill just buy the stuff.that matches what I have and go.with plain seats again.
