lets see where you are mounting your compressors.I am thinking of puting it in the tool box to keep it dry. but i would like to see other options. I have the air lift 72000 kit.

Mine is mounted under the front ranch hand bumper behind the license plate but its not the best place for it, because i have had to take it apart and get it freed up twice but i do not use it much... I guess the mositure gets in it. I take the cover off and spin it once and place it back on...

I mounted the same system on the plate above the spare tire. There is enough room for everything up there, and it is the driest point underneath the truck. Haven't had any issues thus far (3+ years).

the spare tire location is where mine is kept also nice and safe when the tire is in position been there for years ..

keeps the lines and wires to a minimum ( I don't even use the shrader valves ) and I use the trailer plug harness as a power source

Damn you!!! Lol. I would just love to see how the compressor is mounted and how everything fits. It's a great idea using the spare as a guard for it

well if you air up or down the compressor can run longer and it constantly maintains PSI so it has random inputs ,, It would be distracting to hear it IMHO

I am thinking of putting it on one of the upfitter switches and only turn it on when i need it for trailering.

Thats how mine is hooked up. When I hook up, I flip the switch and level the truck then flip it off. I mounted mine in front of the fuel tank btw.

Passenger side frame rail. 90 degree drill. 4 holes. Solid as a rock.
Larger 1/2" line and valve. Way louder and more responsive for the horns. Also put a Air Chuck inline so I can fill up tires.
Probably not the best location for running to air bags but fits perfect.

Here is another idea for you guys. I had mine mounted here and I will do again once I get time to put the compressor back in.

Pull the drivers side headlight and your fender vent and look in the cavity next to the fender. You will be amazed at the amount of space in there. My 450 will be a bit different cause it doesn't have the hard plastic wheel wells but mount it to the wheel well and leave clearance from the fender and your golden.
