Another cummins conversion

I put the motor and zf5 in the other night and at the shaft of the trans it is 18" one way and 14" the other way, what did you guys do to straighten it out. I'm running fordcummins motor mounts, I imagine you do something with the passenger side motor mount, but what did you guys do?

I don't really understand your question... are you saying your tranny output shaft isn't centered side to side in between your frame rails? if you are saying that then just adjust the placement of your motor mounts on your frame up front.

Is your motor centered in the frame? When I did mine my motoe and trans was offset some. I'll post a pic.

I used Destroked mounts and slotted my trans crossmember. It was more on the passenger side

Well I got off my ass and started doing a little measuring, I shoved my motor as far back as possible then moved my passenger mount back and Im probably going to move my driver side up which will center it as best as possible. I'm gonna have to figure out my crossmember issues

The autoworld mounts intentionally offset the engine in the bay, not sure if you are using these, but some mounts do this on purpose. Destroked mounts are designed to be centered in the truck, that's why I chose them. You should fill in your sign so people know what you are working with.

What truck is this going in? Im pretty sure the fordcummins mounts we're using in our obs swap don't center the engine for clearance or something. I'll try to remember to put a tape measure on it later to be sure

If it's an OBS, then the engine/trans are offset to the passenger side. The yoke on the rear diff is also offset to the passenger side so the driveshaft is aligned between the two. The front fuel tank is using up the space on the drivers side which is a reason for the offset (moves driveshaft to passenger side).
