Another Grill Idea

So been wanting to do something different with my grill for a while now, just could never find anything that really struck me, I'm not huge fan of the huge opening you get with the large black inserts, albeit it does suit some.

I do however like the Platinum Grilles just not the price, lol
So I started playing around with a simple CAD program and came up with some grilles that can be assembled on to the factory grill crossbars, then had them laser cut with some stainless

Let me know what you think?
I have them at the powder coating shop right now getting them done black, then most likely will cutout the centers of the grill bars

Photos on the truck are just taped as a mock up, they will have the riveted look around the edges

Back from powder coaters, turned out good, now find time to get them installed

I like it. I do worry about how I'd keep it clean of all the bugs I hammer!

I wonder if they could laser cut the 2 bar OEM grill or would it just tear apart because it's plastic (or chip away all the chrome coating)?

Maybe incorporate some sort of quick release, or a small bolt on each side so that if you wanted/needed to take it off to clean it you could easily remove it and then re-install it.
