You could do it as long as you never had to make a turn, I just took my 20x14's off this week and replaced them with some 22x10's. I couldn't go any taller than a 34 without major rubbing, I ran 355/50R20 ( 34x14.50x20 ) and this was on a 6" lift. You can get the same wide stance look your going for with a 2.5" kit and some 12 wides and 13-13.50 wide tires. I'll be selling these 22x10's soon for a set of 22x12's since I just dropped it down to a leveling kit to achieve the same look as I had with the 14's. I was just tired of the lift and 5 point turns LoL.

what size tires do you plan to run with the 22x12? a 35?

currently i have 35x12.5 on 20x10 wheels stock suspension with a fab four bumper and I only rub at full lock, the plan is to either go with a 20x14 on a 33x13.5 or with a 22x12 and a 35x12.5 with the2.5 leveling kit I have on order

To each his own - I cant stand the narrow, positive offset, bike tire look myself

LOL

Huge (massive actually) difference in 8 wides with positive offset and 14 wides with holy negative offset. But you're right, to each his own.

Say no to bike tires. Haha. To each and to his own. I'm not a fan of narrow tires, especially on a lifted truck.

325/50/22 same as I'm running now, but yeah its a 35. For the 14 wide wheels you will need a minimum of a 6" lift depending on tire size, and then you will have to trim the inner fender some and hammer back a pinch weld some too. Otherwise you will rub like crazy, but either way welcome to 5 point turns to get out of parking spaces ( or into for that matter ) and constantly trying to avoid curb rash. I loved the look but just got tired of the parking difficulty and also wanted to drop mine down off the 6" lift.
