So my dad wants to trade my 2016 stock 18s for his 2010 20s. I want to do it but the clear coat on his wheels is a little faded/scuffed. Anyone have experience re-coating them or polishing them?
Would it be difficult to re coat them?use rubbing compound or regular polish like you would for body panels. If it is too deep for that, you could strip and polish which looks great but is a pile of work and high maintenance to keep up.
They make wheel clear coat in a rattle can. Just as long as you do the proper prep work and spray them evenly, they will look as good as a factory iob.Would it be difficult to re coat them?

My truck came with the platinum's. I never could get into them. I tried to get the dealer to swap them with lariat wheels before I bought the truck.
Goya any pics of the 6.4 wheels on your platinum?I put 08 20s on my 15 platinum for the winter and they look so much better then the platinum wheels did. The 08 wheels look like they belong there and fit the platinum set up way better. By far my favorite factory wheel. I have them on three different trucks right now. 6.0/6.4/6.7 oddly enough.
Not a fan of the platinums the king ranch have a diff paint bit are the same wheels and look better. Still would rather have the lariat 20's that i have. Im glad indidntbget a platinum. I am starting to hate that gawdy tailgate. Thats pretty much the only difference

I also would easily be able to dim said in dash infotainment system. And why would i want a heated seat warmer? Ive got remote start and seriously it only really cold like 45days a year. Maybe a cooled steering wheel or better a/c seats...
