Well looked under the truck today. It has been leaving a bit of an oil trail under the truck. Definitely not a puddle but there is a stain on the ground.

That looks like mine with a bed plate drip
I would pull the CCV and do whatever it takes to get it to stock and take it in
they can dye test to pinpoint

if it's a bedplate its like over 2k for the fix so do it under warranty IMHO

If its a bedplate leak, which is what I think mine is. As long as it is not dripping on the ground. I would leave it alone. Every 6.0 and 6.4 I have owned has done the same thing. The first one I had came apart 3 times and never got better. Oddly enough, they all started leaking between 5-10k and stopped around 40k.

No sh!t. I'm gonna wipe down the oil later and possibly see exactly where the leak is coming from. And then I'm gonna keep monitoring it and see if it gets any better or worse. Atleast it's not uncommon.

Mine started doing this a month ago - dime size puddle under the truck every now and then.

Why would you leave it when warranty would cover it ?

they miss diagnosed mine until it was out of warranty I should have been more proactive to get them to fix it but I was jut happy to have barley made them do the oil cooler /studs bulletproof egr cooler before warranty was gone ..

I wash mine enough and spray that area so my oil never really hits the cement

otherwise I'd cram a diaper in there ;-)

I'm not sure how "emissions friendly" my dealer is. I don't want to return the whole entire truck to stock.

I'm gonna see if I can get it in with my mods now. If not, I'll just wait until something else goes wrong or when I'm ready to pull the cab for studs.

become friends with a service adviser( I $ Mine) and always get the same Guy to deal with your truck ,, worked for Me ,, just make sure any mod you leave on your truck can't be blamed for your issue ,, Ford sends out Random inspectors to DBL check

I guess what I am trying to say is. Wait and see if it keeps leaking or goes a way. If it gets worse, have it fixed before warranty runs out. IMO, a damp spot, or a little oil on the bottom of the motor is not a big deal if its not bad enough to be dripping on the ground. I look at it this way. Is it really worth having the motor pulled out and the whole truck being molested to fix a minor oil leak? I know some people are freaks when it comes to it. After working on epquipment and big trucks, A small oil drip is almost expected on a new motor. Just my opinion.

And last time I was at my local dealer. Out of 11 used 6.4 trucks, 9 had the damp bellhousing.
