I like both. IMO I think either would look good on your truck and I love the stance of your truck. I have black and milled and they are so much easier to keep clean.

I have never had black wheels but am curious how they do with gravel dust. I dont spend a lot of time on gravel just some during hunting season and it doesnt even get washed then.

It depends on the truck and how you have the rest of the truck set up, lots of chrome, then chrome rims (not too much, for fear of the mexican look) if your truck is PTM/black trim black rims look better, like I said every truck is different

Sent from in a ditch up side down and on fire with the wheels still spinning

This is what I was thinking as well. Yet I also am trying to avoid the 'hey, look, black rims...' I assume there is a balance.

No I havent. I think i want to get someone to do it because I dont want to mess it up. I still cant decide who should do it or how much i should pay.

I'm thinking vinyl wrap. Maybe they can get it exactly close. Got a quote to clear bra the bumper and grill surround to prevent chips, $350. This PTM upgrade is looking to get over a grand.

One of the main reasons that I have black ruins is because they are low maintenance, since they are painted they hold up to dirt/dust better than Chrome.

If you want a chrome wheel, look into the bmfs, they have a pvd coating that looks like Chrome without the problems.

Ya man you think they could get the vinyl wrap close? I may just leave my bumpers chrome and paint the grill surround and then the Cs inside the grill to match. I feel like on my truck with my platinum wheels it will looks the best. Well I hope. I need to get rid of these stock tires though. I hate michilens so bad and they are way to skinny for these trucks.

I'm buying a 6.0 that is the same color, and I already have a set of black and machined wheels sitting in the garage waiting for it. This color just looks awesome with black accents.

Honestly, I think it looks perfect the way it sits now. But I'm partial to the upgraded stock look you mentioned in the original post. When the day comes that I have a 6.7 in my garage it'll sit just like that! :bowfast:

IMO black wheels are becoming extremely played out. However, on a dark gray truck like yours I think they look better than chrome. I just can't stand the guys that say black wheels no matter what, regardless of what the truck looks like

But.35 years of only chrome and machined aluminum isnt? Dont.get me wrong I love bright wheels too but products are.cheap shti nowadays and chrome is garbage.

Polished wheels are nice but living in the rustbelt I haaaated my 18x14 welds. I will never polish that chit again. I really like your wheels but they dont work on everything.

Right.now Im running 20x12 throttles in black machined and couldnt be happier.

I think people.should do what they want and quit trying to fit in.
