Actually just read the thread. I would NEVER pull the heads on seasoned 7.3 gaskets. Do studs one at a time. It will be a better seal than fresh gaskets. Cummins guys do it all the time and it works great.

I think I have a rod knock, Tony thinks it is the b codes and a timing issue. We will see at the race later this month.

Oil analysis will tell you for sure and its cheap and easy.

Yes and no. My last report was fair. Biggest problem was the oil had sheered below 30w. Was told to change old in the 2500k mile range or move to full synthetic and try again. Oh well...

That's what I did. Work from the center out, use more lube than you think is enough. No issues.

ARP's can get a bad rap.. But under properly installation, I've had 0 issues on the trucks I've installed them on. H11's are better I've heard. Installed 1 set. Same results as the ARP's. There was a thread on PSN or the .org where Lott and where discussing them and people at ARP I spoke to...

Just food for thought. I'm just concerned about used studs. I know that if I install\remove them, I'm in clover so to speak. I just can't vouch for others I don't know.

They make the standard ARPS which nearly everybody uses and they around $500. They also make ARP 625s which can hold 260,000psi instead of what standard ARPS can hold which is 220,000? My numbers may be off. But the 625s cost over twice as much as the regular $500 ones and are supposed to be stronger. As far as H11s being better, that's been debated over and over. If ARPS are properly installed and everything else is in check they can hold well over 800hp. Both will get the job done. But like I said before even if hes practically giving them away I would rather spend the $500 for new ARPs and not worry about it.
