Been chasing the bugs in this truck since I bought it 4 years ago.

Biggest bug right now:
Truck has no accelerating power. As long as I accelerate slowly I can get the truck up to speed (had it up to 80 on the highway). If I stick my foot in the throttle hard to try accelerating quickly, the RPMs pick up a little (not much) but there's very little noticeable power and the speed picks up very slowly. Makes passing on a 2-lane country highway nearly impossible. I drive like a granny most of the time and didn't notice it till I was in a hurry 2 weeks ago and tried passing in a straight stretch.

I've been digging through forums since then checking things, but have come to the realization I need help because I don't know what my guages are telling me.

I've attached a couple of screenshots from FORScan Lite of the things I think are relevant. One is at idle and the other is at 1500 rpm.

Any help is appreciated!

What year truck? Whats done to the truck? Have you checked for boost/exhaust leaks? What is fuel pressure?

Was a landscaping company fleet truck in Austin, TX before I bought it from a lot in Waco, TX.

20K MILES AGO: (when I bought the truck)
2x new batteries
Head gaskets
Had valve job done on the heads while they were off.
ARP Studs
STC fitting
Stand pipes
HHC Diesel nipple cups
EGR ****** (left the valve connected, laying on top of the manifold)
FICM - put a new power board in it.
Blue Spring
2x new glow plug harnesses

10K MILES AGO
New alternator (stock)

2K MILES AGO
Finally found a shop up here locally that flashed my computer to turn off the EGR valve. Very unimpressed with that shop, didn't seem to know much about diagnosing a 6.0 and afterwards flatly said they didn't have IDS, just a programmer.

500 MILES AGO:
Turbo rebuilt & Balanced (Midwest Turbo Connection)

Checked the boots and pipes for leaks, didn't feel any.
Clamps are down tight.

Will get screen shots of the fuel pressure & boost this afternoon when I get off work.

Your first screen shot is approx. 1500 rpm and your IPR is only 28.9%, I'm not a mechanic but that seems odd. IPR screen could be clogged since the trucks been worked on.

Had a eurika moment when playing with FORScan this afternoon.

I don't have a fuel pressure guage, but I think I'll have to get one. I finally figured out where the error codes are in those menus.

I assumed the manifold guage pressure would be my boost, so I added it.
Thought it odd it was at zero.
Up to 1500 RPM, no change - still a goose egg. Bingo! Dead sensor.

And thats when I decided to try to find the codes through FORScan. Here's what I found:

Check the map sensor hose for cracks. It needs to fit tight on the nipple on the intake manifold and on the sensor. And take a nail or piece of wire and poke through the nipple as well to make sure it is not clogged.

btw - you do not have a "manifold gauge" sensor.

The manifold gauge pressure (boost) is determined by subtracting the Baro from the MAP.

I did look at my IPR numbers yesterday afternoon and forget what I post. My numbers were close to yours.

Decided to replace the MAP sensor. (Per GHOHouston's advice) Pulled the hose off with the old sensor. Was split down by the clamp. Thanks GHOHouston!

Was going to trim off the end, but the end crumbled when I started cutting. Leaving it off for the night. Going to get a replacement in the morning.

Bismic, thanks for the info on how boost is calculated, I didn't know that! Pretty cool!

I'm about half retarded.

Replaced the MAP & line to the manifold. Didn't fix the problem.

Looked at the baro sensor. Was working and reading 29.60. I figured if the baro sensor had failed the computer would have defaulted to 29.92 (standard sea level pressure).

Still not getting a signal. So I checked the turbo again.

Mounted solid.
Pipes on tight.
No loose or split boots.

The I looked right at it. Solenoid connector clips had broken off. Connector had slid out just enough to loose connection.

Pushed it back in all the way. Presto-wammo, turbo running normally. Plenty of power.

My shop foreman would have thrown the tank TM at me and cussed me out like a private for something that simple. Basic -10 level maintenance. I missed it when I checked before.

Due to the heat, that connector tends to fail. Keep an eye on it. It is the same part number as the IPR connector.
