Avoiding blown boots

Ya i dont think it would work but just wanted to post that up for people to see ive done it with alum cac tubes and it works well.

What I did was wrap a welding rod around the pipe in the little lip in the end. Clamped it and used a mig welder to weld it. Hasnt came off since. I also use constant torque clamps..
