Bad hpop???

96 f350, 160/100s, Wildman tunes, d66
Idles just above 500rpm but sometime it starts to cut out to about 400rpm, then back up, on high idle, 1100 then will miss out to about 1000, sounds like I'm running out of oil for the 160s.??

What kind of HPOP you got I got Swamps 160/100's and a T500 and its popping 1211 ICP code at WOT.

T500 is a 17* pump you need a modded HPOP with more volume.

To the OP, may just be a bad sensor or ipr..check those first very unlikely a HPOP causes Idle issues.

Unless it gets worse at higher rpm and load, I doubt its a hydraulic pressure or pump issue--sounds more like wiring, regulator, sensor related. Have good fuel pressure? Any water in the fuel, gelling, etc? Its crazy cold everywhere right now.

Why is that...its normal without a HPOP that has more volume?

Well according to his sig he has a hydra chip with swamps hybrid injector tunes and he has 160/100s... Stage twos, right? Stage twos require more oil than hybrids, correct?

I agree with this. My 97 180/100 loves the tuning for hybrids (238/100) Idles smoother makes more boost and now that I have twin hpop it never throws p1211...

Hi OBSWIZ This is the story how ended up with 200% nozzle hybrid tunes. Me and Dave could never solve my idling issues no matter all the adjustments he did. Reversion after reversion so he told me to try this 200% nozzle hybrid test tune and it automatically solved my idling issues.

Powerstroke Man 6.4 you do have an issue, lets start your own thread. Keeps the confusion down.

JaredKeller96, Check codes, I think you might be correct, the old 15º just can't keep up with demand.

I highly doubt it's the pump, why doesn't the OP just call Terminator and get his opinion on it? I can't see 160/100's starving that pump (which isn't a 17* pump) I'm running 225/100's with 3200-3300 ICP a WOT.

ICP sensor could be going bad, I dunno how new these tunes are but on my really old set I had an issue where it would kick up and down about 200-300 rpms at idle.

Stage 2's require more HPO than Hybrids...so since the T500 has the same swash plate and bore as a 17* ......how does it qualify as a performance pump without more Volume?

I know for a fact the swash plate isn't the same as a 17 and the bore isn't the same. So you are saying the honey badger isn't a performance pump since it utilizes the same 17* plate?
