bad wiring harness?

Hey yall, so ive been having a problem I have never even heard of before. when i hit my brakes the running lights come on. Then i was driving at about 45 mph and i turned my running lights on and my tranny downshifted. turned the lights off and turned them back and and it downshifted again, does it everytime. i Had the wires for my license plate light an taillight ripped out pulling a tree but i repaired those and not im having this issue. any thoughts?

It's not downshifting, the converter is unlocking. The same thing would happen if you turned on your hazards or hit the brakes. Check for a burned taillight bulb.

Amazing how much a burnt tailight bulb wreaks havoc on our OBS's.

A burnt taillight bulb would cause all of this? Crazy lol
