2000 F350, front is sagging as expected. Going to replace rear leafs (either with stock style or 08'+).

Hangers vs. leaf packs, who has experience with these two?

Who makes a decent front leaf pack with a 2-2.5" lift?

Just want a 2nd opinion before I drop some change on new parts that will affect ride and utility of the truck . . .

Hmm, I always thought BDS only made a mini leaf pack, looks like I was wrong.

Will definitely look into their kit, can't complain with their warranty claim!

I recently did a rough country 2.5 replacement leaf pack with shocks and it rides surprisingly well. I havent been in another 7.3 to compare but Im happy with it.
I understand that it is a leaf sprung truck and its not going to ride like my 08

I put 3.75 blocks in the rear and it sits dead level.

Also figured I'd add that I replaced my rear springs with a set from a local spring company.

Supposedly they were identical to what were in there, now I'm not sure if what I had initially were stock, but the replacements SUCKED.

I felt like the ass end had axle wrap, an when I hit pot holes it felt as If the truck was gunna lose the rear end.

Granted it looked tit empty, dead nuts level front to rear. But throw a trailer with a little tongue weight on her and next thing you known its sagging azz.

My advice would be make sure you stick with for rear leafs and stay beefy. For the front the Xcode's did great, along with new shocks. But I think it really needed an adjustable track bar to be aligned perfectly. It seemed always to be a little off afterwards.

Two 2.5" BDS leaf packs, and the hardware kit ordered (using Bilstein 5100 shocks, not theirs). Thanks for the replies guys.

If you need pricing let me know.

I appreciate the help and offer (sincerely), but to order a kit of that size and weight would would astronomical cost of shipping and duty fees do ship all the way up here. Just my clutch kit from ValAir (also in TX), was about $150 of shipping when it got to my door. Thanks for the help and offer though man, I'll keep ya in mind if I need anything smaller and lighter, lol.

Had a Rough Country level and did not care for it at all.

Now have a hanger lift and love it. Rides so much better.

My question is if I have a lift, lost all the stock parts, who makes aftermarket parts to bring it.back down to f350 height but level? In really not interested in stock springs is why I ask. The marshmallowy ride and handling aren't my cup of tea. My 6" Skywalker springs are waaay better, imo.

I got my front setup from OBSWZ. V and B codes, hanger lift on front, factory front sway bar, helwig heavy duty sway bar in the rear.

Is there anyway to run 6" springs with no block and then run a leveling kit for the front? Wouldn't that put the front end level?

What size tires you running Dom? I have new 20x12s wrapped in 35x12.5 atzs that I want to keep.

I like a little rake, being high in the back so when I've got a trailer on, it sits level.

In the rear it's a 350 block, with factory springs, and an overload, the way it came from the factory. The nice thing about that, is good ride quality. When it was lifted, I was running a 6.5" procomp lift with rear springs. I do a lot of long trips, and my neck would always be sore after 200 + mile trips with that setup. Never feel that way now. the flatter the spings, the better they ride.

If you look in the "Red" thread you can see all the different heights the truck has been. Right now I am running 18x9 rims, with 05 back spacing to keep them tucked, and 325/65 Hankook atz's. When these are done, I'll be going to a 20x10 rim with a similar size tire.

Dude, I hear you loud and clear. This 6" lift is cool but the kids can't get in themselves, older people can't get in, short people(wife) can't get in, and it rides like a lumber wagon. It rides great with a heavier trailer on it. I'm not too proud to admit my superduty doesn't work anymore. That's what the dmax is for.

I'll look into what you suggested, I like your truck. Seeing as how you came from the same point I'm at now I tend to hear of your advice higher, no offense to anybody else.

One last question Dom, does it.sag like a bitsh with a trailer hooked to it?

I had worn/flat 4,800lb springs on my truck before, and I added X-code 6,000lb springs and a 2" mini-spring pack. Ended up with 4" of lift in the front, and within 1/2" of level. Looks great.

I know somebody w/ a 250 what has a 4" lift....his truck only sits 1" higher than mine, lol

Really starting to wonder if these new leafs are going to level it to F350 standards or more likely F250 standards . . . I want to level it to the rear as it is now.

Starting to wonder if I should have done X-codes to start, then added a hanger kit if needed.

Anyone run a front air-bag helper system? lol

Most leveling kits say "if your vehicle is.equipped with an f350 rear block your vehicle will be 1" higher in the rear." If you need only an inch, you'll have to run an add a leaf in the front.

@ToMango-You realize that most 4" kits barely lift the rear? Ford's are 3" rake most of.the time. Well, they used to.be.The 1st gen Superduties were. I'm not sure anymore. My last 4" kit only contained add a leafs for the rear and new ubolts. Gay...

My opinion of lifting is very cut and dry. 6" or leveling kit. 4" is a waste. 8" can be.cool if the tires are smaller than the max size. For.example, an 8" lift and 37s on 22s is.nice.
