Future, plan on kids, and needed 4 doors, and an automatic so my wife can drive it too. Otherwise I'd never gotten rid of it

Jeremiah, I have the utmost respect for your old truck, I'm using the info you created at a model for my turbo choices. And I respect why you traded it. Not everyone has time or passion for a 20 year old truck.

When I read this I was reminded how different my wife is :

" and an automatic so my wife can drive it too"

Mine says "no damn slushbox for me I want holdback when I want tow 4 or 6 horses!"

Probably the only 62 year old gal around who wants things louder faster and taller.

She is on my ass right now to get a T4 kit and intercooler on it!

My very close cousin has a 97 CCLB F350, I hope the timing and finances are right when he decides to sell and that I am able to buy it off of him. We've put an electric fuel system in it, a T500, gave him my old D66 and Dp F5 chip, he's got an intercooler ready for it, and it's been custom painted and has thev3.5" rsk with super duty springs already. And it's an automatic. He loves the truck and all, he hopes to do injectors and transmission at some point. But I've got my fingers crossed that he never had to get rid of that obs before I'm able to get it from him. I'll probably change it to a T4 and be good to go

But yeah, I loved it for towing, never had to look at the pyro anymore, and I could have my foot to floor, and it had all the power to accelerate up smaller grades and it wouldn't break temp, you had to treat it really bad on longer grades to make temps an issue... As for the slush box, I thought I'd never do an automatic, but I freaking love the 5r110, the tow strategies are great in tow haul mode, I definitely prefer it to my parents 4r100 02

I love my BASB. It still has the cast wheel prior to Pius making it in billet and its prior to the SXE line. I could just imagine what the SXE line is compared to the BASB.

Oh yea, the boost gauge starts moving around 1200-1300 rpm with the 175/80s.

Yup, spooled very well, faster than 38r and just very suprising for a 64.5mm in general

I towed my 12K 5er from Vancouver, Wa to Tacoma, Wa and back on I-5 this last weekend. At 2000 RPM the truck would run 850-900* on the flats and 1150* pulling the small hills (there are no big hills) with PLENTY of pedal. I seriously only use about 1/4-1/3 throttle once up to speed. Overall, I'm quite happy with the performance of the 364.5.

Thats about how mine runs temp wise too.
It will max out about 1200 or 1250 if pushed real hard in a fairly hot tune. When my truck was rock stock i could get it to 1300 no problem. So 1250 all day long is not going to hurt these engines.
