best tuner

hey yall, i postin this for a buddy, I have a 7.3 so im not too failiar with the 6.4s hes wondering what the best tuner is for his truck. its a 2008 6.4. I told him h&s mini maax or black maax. what are his options?

dpf delete pipe and whatever tuner you can get with gearhead tunes... oh, might as well get a no limit intake also..

no, its a good idea but not manditory. Block of plates are good enough untill the cab has to come up, then do a full delete.

where does the sct scanner connect to? an obd port? or is it wired to the computer im lost with the 6.4s never messed with them.

Yeah you hook it up to the obd2 port and upload the tune. My truck has Gearhead tunes uploaded with the x4 and a edge cts for monitoring. Also have the No Limit CAI and EGR delete with 4" downpipe back exhaust (straight).

Here is a pic of my engine compartment so you can see the intake and egr delete elbow.

The EGR delete is something I would recommend, simply because of the known failure and destroying engines. I would go ahead and do the full delete, the cab doesn't have to come up in order to that, yes it will make things easier but you do not have too. We offer a wide variety of programmers for the 6.4. I like my BlackMaxx, it helps with gauges , I do not think the BlackMaxx is available anymore , the big screen is nice , get a hold of bigrpowr he has several tuners to choose from that would work great for your buddy
