Blower Motor Noise - can't drop it out of box!!!!

Well this is embarrassing, picked up the 2011 a month ago. Just installed a lift and retro fitted a bunch of great parts to the truck. In this process I've noticed the trucks fan motor has a noise that wasn't ideal. So I purchased a new fan motor. Easy install on the 6.0's, I have done a few of them.
This one is under the passenger dash. So I removed the 4x4cm. A few ele plugs, and pulled back the carpet. Removed the 4 screws holding it in place. Thought it would fit, but it doesn't any way I can see.
I've rotated it, pulled hard and easily.
Can't seem to find any YouTube videos.
Please tell me the upper heater box doesn't have to be removed to swap out the motor!?
Any of you have any tips or tricks?

Shame, something so simple can give a guy so much trouble.

YouTube to take the spacer out with the blower (the piece the blower screws into) there is 1 or 2 more screws then both prices come right out
