Brake Calipers on different sides.

Today I was replacing a seized caliper on the rear axle of my 99.5 F250 7.3/zf6 off road and noticed that the rear axle had the driver's side caliper in front of the axle and the passenger's side caliper behind the axle. Is this correct, I've never seen anything like that before.

That sounds like a early 99 setup.

Well, my VIN and preduction date put it as a Late 99 last time I checked. But I can look again.

Yup it's a 99 thing .

Not all of the e99 parts ran out at the same time. Some trucks ended up with left over e99 axles like yours. You just found one of those special trucks that was build during the transition.
