will i have a problem with backpressure and blown headgaskets if i dont get studs right now? what temp is going to cause problems. im under impression to back off at 1700?
what about my bottom end dont the obs' come with forged rods?

NO!!!! You don't want to be at or above 1200* for any extended amount of time. Short bursts above that temp is ok, but nothing more than maybe 5-6 seconds.
