Both of my turbos are bigger than dans and have Bigger exhaust housings and spool perfect and normally a cam does move your power around and make it laggy in lower rpms... If dan would have went with a colt cam design he Probly would have alot better results

I did not say a cam doesn't move your power around. Different cams are ment for different things. But he's saying his truck didn't come alive until after 4k. All I'm getting at is that if probably had more to do with his turbos, and then also being at altitude didn't help any. A cam that is ment to produce power like that over 4k is probably going to be a cam ment for competition use.

It doesn't matter what cam Dan had. He was on 38 inch tires, high gear ratio if I remember correctly, huge turbos, and over a mile in elevation with a crew cab configuration in a truck that probably weighed over 9000 lbs. No cam is gonna make that thing spool under 2500 at least under those conditions

nothing other than cam , turbo, and altitude in your list would contribute to spoolup and peak power range .

Yes he was and it Probly hurt him a little

There's a list of small things that needed to be changed to help my spool up, but like ya say, you have bigger turbos and spool just fine, id say these engines are better than the duramaxes for spool up...

Are you planning to explore potential hp in the higher rpm Craig on you're truck?

I love watching the shop trucks duke it out. Obviously rooting for team Ford but the hollyrock crew is good people.
