I love the ZF, but it really only has 1 purpose - pulling loads. I've got 205k on the truck I just tore apart and it still worked just fine on it's 3rd clutch.
Now for anyone thinking a 6 speed is cool for daily driving then you're mistaken or a glutton for punishment. It's not a mustang t-5, it's a BIG heavy tranny. It shifts like a big tranny, it clutches like a big tranny. You can not hammer through the gears at the race track, an auto is faster, no doubt. But if you NEED control, and like never having to worry about temps, then the 6 speed is for you.
The guy I sold my ZF to started asking if the transmission was ok because it didn't shift like his ranger. ointlaugh:
