Maybe it was just the red 6.4 that I saw with all red painted stuff, but it just looked like too much red. Looks great in pics, but in person it was just a LOT of red. I'm having the same problem deciding what to do with mine, and that's why I was tryin to leave some chrome.

I never noticed the mirrors mismatched. I think I like it. For me thats a hard call on the bumper. You have a pretty nice balance of red and black.

I think the red looks great, it will be a very clean look. Black is just getting to dang played out. Just like you said if you painted it black it would look like you took a chrome bumper and painted it...

The only problem with the fully painted front ends is the rock chips if they gravel the roads during the winter where you live.

my grey one is trashed from 2 winters. whatever color it gets painted will have 3m clear vinyl over it.

I'm pretty fond of the gray, but I think if you're gonna paint the center of the grille, I think red would look great.
