Buying 02 7.3l, tell me if I should back out

Lots of good info here. I'm gonna get him closer to $3k, check it out in person and talk to the mechanic that said it needed injectors. If cant do that, I'll walk and keep on looking. Thanks for the help.

ran across a similar situation recently. guy was asking $4500 for a 7.3, said it needed moor work... check it out, crankcase was over filled halfway up the dipstick with fuel, wouldnt build icp, puffed smoke while cranking from crankcase... told the old **** the engine was toast.... he kept going on about how it just needs some work and he wasnt sure how it gained oil....
