Hey guys I've been following this site and just got around to joining. A lot of great info and builds going on. My question is has anyone took a cab and chassis dually axle and swapped it to an f250? I've read up on people doing a regular dually axle, but my plan is to try to keep the wheels as far in as I can, and run no bed on the truck.

You would have to cut the purches off and reweld them but you may not have enough clearance to the frame. Just going to a 35x12.5" tire I had to pull the air bags off because the tire was rubbing them. Another option which would be a lot more work would be to graft the C&C rear frame to your truck.

Yeah I wasn't sure if the rear would be wide enough on the f250 frame :/ my plan was to run a dually rear and then run 22 inch alcoas. But then I thought about running the arrowcraft adapters with 22's but I just think that would be too much going on:/

Just get a dana 80 from a f350 dually bolts right in and the extra stick out really isn't that bad. If you are not running a bed you would notice it even less imo.

06 should work. Not really sure what the going rate is for one these days. The one we used in the pulling truck was from a complete 6.0 drive train we bought. Go on car part.com it is like a Craigslist for junk yards.
