caltracs or traction blocks?

The reason the caltracs and/or traction blocks help the feel of the shifting is because the axle does not/cannot wrap when the transmission unloads during a shift.

As said caltracs have there place and that is on a drag vehicle, they only control upward pinion wrap, it has no way of controlling downward axle wrap like what happens when you get on the brakes or when you are going in reverse. To me this is unacceptable and dangerous even in a drag race situation.

Traction blocks do not allow the axle to wrap in either direction. Hence the reason I have traction blocks.
