Can a H&S tuner be used in 2 trucks?

I have a friend that has a 08 Superduty. He found someone that is selling a H&S tuner that was installed on a 2010 Superduty. The 2010 has been wrecked and declared totalled. My question is, if he buys the tuner from the guy with the 2010. What needs to be done for it to work on the 08 Superduty? Also is $300 a good deal on the tuner? Thanks for any help guys

He would have to call H&S to get an unlock code for $100. $300 sounds like a good deal, what model tuner is it?

Tell them to hook the battery up on that totalled truck and just hit return to stock....... It should unlock the Tuner.... Saves ya 100... Last time I called h&s this September I think they waanted 250 to unlock it
