The coilovers have a seperate mount that needs to be added. I have the pintop kit on my truck with the kings and i will add on the coilovers later.
As for now i beat my truck daily down some nasty roads and it soaks it up. The handling is awesome. Its like a new truck all over again.
Carli is the best i have had and i have had some nice kits in the past but this is a real dialed in system. Sage Carli and his crew really put alot of time in dialing in each setup.
The customer service and support is really good also. I called with a couple questions before pulling the trigger and Sage himself picked up the phone and answered all my questions an just shot the $hit about the abuse they have put this through.

Snapon air hammer and bits at 150 psi cut the heads of the rivets off like a hot knife through butter. A really loud hot knife.

The Kings are nice, but if you go with the Kings get the upgraded shafts for 50.00 a corner. Coil over kits do require the stock buckets to be removed but its still reversible as longs as you don't damage the stock bucket on removal.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thanks

thanks for the tip on the upgraded shafts. Do you see failures with the standard ones?

Im stuck between the pin top and the coilover. at this point im leaning more towards the pin top. unless someone can convince me that the coilovers are worth it.

The standard shafts are being phased out due to some corrosion issues, but for right now its an upgrade.

Pin top vs coil over I'd be no help on since I have yet to install a Carli coil over kit. I have done an ICON coil over and I personally thought it rode great. But that's kinda not the same being different brands and valving design and so on.

What type of driving do you do? Coilovers are amazing for me but I daily drive on dirt roads so the coilovers work great.

I'd consider coilovers then. You lose some travel with coilovers but I think it's been worth it for me.

My IR air hammer at 150psi wouldn't knock the rivets out of a 2013 truck. Had to cut them with a grinder then hit em with the air hammer. Sucked. Go with coil overs if rough roads are what the truck sees regularly.

The install on the coilovers is a PITA. I used a Metabo Grinder and a wheel to flatten them out. Then cut an air chisel bit in half and rounded off the edges. Pushed the rivets through in no time The driver side took about 4 hours, but once i got the hang of it the passenger side was done in 45 minutes. If you have any plans of running the bypass shocks get them in the beginning, so you don't have to send in your coilovers to be revalved.

I went with the pin top kit for now. I will go back and add coil overs to go with the 2.5" resi shock later.
