Center Console Conversions

i was wondering if anyone here has done as center console conversion on say a XLT to get the 8in sync or a regular double din unit.

I was looking into doing the 12 inch one on my 17 but didn't like the idea where it was made and if something went wrong I am sure you are screwed and stuck with it. I will order a 2020 when they are available to order and see what changes they make to them. The 4dtech conversion from 4 to 8 looks great but a little pricey but probably worth the money.
