Check Engine light came on the other day and freaked me out a little bit because it was about 2 weeks after the 3yr/36k ran out.
Went to Advance Auto and it was throwing a P0401 (EGR Flow Insufficient). Went to Ford and they worked an active Tech Service Bulletin on it and found nothing major wrong in the first couple steps.
Then it called to check for restricted air flow and found my dirty a$$ air filter. Changed that out and the CEL hasn't come back.
BTW, the flow sensor for the air filter is not to be trusted! The tech said he's seen filters so filthy and clogged that the vacuum has caved the filter in on itself and the sensor still said the filter was good.
Learn something new everyday. On the bright side, I got 31,000 miles out of the original air filter.
