Thanks for cutting me some slack :D

Yeah, I have driven quite a few of them and ridden with a buddy towing that had one. I started working with them about 12years ago when I started turning wrenches for a living. I have installed turbo kits, "tuned" pumps on a dyno, replaced injectors, trannys, and done other troubleshooting/repair/maintenance over the years. I know that they are not powerhouses, and not the best riding chassis out there. They kind of remind me of my old diesel Mercedes for simplicity and reliability - they just keep on going. Just some of my thoughts anyway.

I think I will stick with my restored OBS with a 6.4 and a ZF6 idea as something to keep me busy if i win the lottery "just because I can" truck.

Yeah, the turbo kit for an IDI that I saw was probably 8 years ago at this point. I'm mostly just messing with you about it. It's not for me, but neither is a 6.0 LOL. I get the whole hanging on to the older diesels for simplicity and reliability, I still DD my 7.3s after all. The old diesel mercedes are up there with my end of the world trucks... manual 12v or a duece and a half multi-fuel... simplicity, reliability, and run just about anything I want through it. :D

I have a few "if I win the lottery" ideas myself... maybe I should start playing.

All in good fun. I like the deuce and a half idea - truly a beast. Somewhat of a unimog for a more realistic budget.

That's no joke on the unimog price tag! People go crazy for them. The only one I've spent time in was a short wheelbase. That thing rode like chit, was top heavy and sketchy as *** offroad on hills, and half the gears were useless unless you wanted to use it as a tractor on the weekends. WOT 1/4 mile in 5 HOURS? Now that's serious gear reduction!

It was fun to see people's faces when they looked in and saw the shifter set up (transmission with cascade crawler box set up on the right). I'm glad I had friends with 'Mogs to get it out of my system. lol

I would get in that and be like :jawdrop::shrug: I have driven a deuce and a half that was setup as a water truck for wild land fire fighting a few times and remember it being much easier than that mog looks!
