Forgot to mention the seat protector.. I bought one of these:

Yea my wife has this safe one in her Acadia. It still deforms the leather if the seat is down tight enough.

You want the seat secure, but if you ask anyone that certifies car seats you can't have them too tight where they don't move at all... the movement helps absorb energy if there is an accident. I tried doing the seat belt and part of the latch system thinking more was better (and it really cut down on movement) and had to listen to the whole explanation at the hospital before we could take baby home.

Not too bad. Our seats have the smaller clips that just fit the LATCH hoops, not the bigger ones like yours, so it wouldn't work. I guess there is always a way!
