I've been getting the question alot lately and have been tossing around ideas as well myself. So im askin you guys... obviously theres the basics, but what are all the fine details you guys are doing to eliminate clutter or junk in your engine compartments and freeing up room.
What do you guys prefer for batteries? Off to one side or just completely out of there?
Making due with heat and AC or just getting rid of it?
Leaving the ugly OEM degas bottle or going aftermarket..direct replacement or smaller canister on fenderwell?
Many of you guys eliminating the 2.34 acers worth of fan shrouding as well for an electric set up?
Electric vacuum pump and canister... doin anything with it?
And finally, what are you guys doing with electrical... just not touching it with a 10ft pole or is anyone messing around to clean any of it up at all?

Thanks for your input guys

I always thought mine looked good, its damn close to stock looking but I kept it clean.

Polished compressor housing, and cold side intercooler pipes would have gone a long way.

If you just take things out it doesn't necessarily look better unless you are adding room for an extra turbo or two. But that's just my opinion

What is that tank behind the driver side battery? Mine doesn't have that. Your ac line is wierd too. Is this a dual alternator truck? Not a fan of that coolant filter kit where it mounts but it does the job.

Only thing I've done besides yours is remove the plastic piece covering the turbo and wrap the wires with exhaust wrap to protect them. And my intake, piping, cai, and compressor housing are powder coated.

My truck is an early '04 so things are laid out a little different than what your probably used to seeing on the later trucks. The AC line is an early one... I'm not a fan of the coolant filter color, location. Ect... And I had thought about the wiring like what you mentioned

Are you looking at the power steering reservoir?

I guess that is what it is. Leaf spring trucks put them back there?
Mine is terribly dirty and will be getting a bath tonight. Coolant filter and oil bypass are mounted on the frame. PS res. in front of battery.

Here is mine. Gonna do something with the vacuum tank to make some more space.

Find a 99-03 super duty at your local junkyard and get the wire harness retainer for above the turbo. Much better then the huge one on the 6.0s. It will mount in the same place but you will have to cut it short near the degas bottle.

One thing I like that's different about mine is by making the lines up with bulk lines and fittings, the regulator is over on the edge of the Degas tank mount rather than. The alternator
