code p0148?

My old truck keeps popping this code p0148 (fuel delivery error). The truck runs fine and fuel pressures are staying steady at 60psi. Just looking for insight why it could be setting this code? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The code basically means the truck went into "limp", but not why it did.

Cam or crank sensors can cause this.

I have this same issue with our 03 and when it happens it will run like crap. Reload tune and it quits. We have found it had something to do with tuning. Revised tunes and now it is good. Most of the time it seems to be an ECM issue.

Great info guys, last time it happened to him we flashed it back to stock and the water in fuel light came on. So I drained the filter and found some water. We replaced filters and kept draining the housing till we stopped getting water then filled tank with good diesel, retuned to xtreme x and it has been fine since until now. Think its another bad batch of diesel? I do know the truck had chafed cam sensor harness that was intermittent when I owned it...
